Tecnoma was established in 2003 to facilitate Norton Manufacturing Company’s (NMC’s) activities in sourcing off-shore in low cost countries (LCCs) to remain competitive in the automotive, heavy truck, and energy industries.
In addition to supplying product to NMC, Tecnoma has supplied products to Detroit Diesel, Ford, General Motors, Weir SPM, Gardner-Denver, Navistar, Arctic Cat, and many more industry leaders.
Tecnoma supported the desire of its customers to purchase goods from LCCs via product and supply chain management support. These include identifying sources, managing engineering requirements and changes, overseeing production launch and ongoing production support, and adding risk-mitigation through taking ownership of the components while being transported to customer owned facilities.
With the increased competitiveness of the US based manufacturing over the past 5 – 7 years, Tecnoma began sourcing products through its own facilities and US based vendors for its customers. In doing this, we are able to deliver more well rounded offerings to our customers. This hybrid of LCC sourcing and US based manufacturing gives Tecnoma speed, flexibility, and a unique skill set to manage its customers supply requirements.
